The Assistant Manager / Manager, Resource Mobilization & Fundraising is responsible for strengthening the organization’s visibility, developing strategic partnerships, and driving marketing initiatives that support fundraising and resource mobilization efforts. This role combines corporate partnership development, brand promotion, and marketing communication to enhance MRC’s engagement with stakeholders, donors, and the general public.
Key Responsibilities ( Roles , Scope and Skill )
- Identify, engage, and maintain strategic relationships with corporate partners, foundations, and institutional donors.
- Develop partnership proposals, sponsorship packages, and collaboration concepts aligned with Malaysian Red Crescent Society humanitarian objectives.
- Coordinate Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) and partnership agreements with external stakeholders and strategic partners.
- Manage partnership deliverables, branding visibility, and post-campaign reporting to ensure successful collaboration outcomes.
- Support internal teams in ensuring effective donor recognition, partner satisfaction, and long-term engagement.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate fundraising campaigns and partnership initiatives to support Malaysian Red Crescent Society programmes and humanitarian efforts.
- Strengthen the Malaysian Red Crescent Society brand presence through strategic partnerships, digital platforms, social media, and media engagement.
- Develop promotional and donor engagement materials (brochures, videos, social media content, sponsorship decks, etc.) in collaboration with the Communications Unit.
- Monitor and analyse campaign performance, donor response, and partnership outcomes to enhance outreach, engagement, and fundraising effectiveness.
- Support the management of Malaysian Red Crescent Society official website and online presence to ensure consistent messaging, branding, and visibility for campaigns and partnerships.
- Plan, identify, engage, monitor, and evaluate corporate fundraising campaigns, events, and sponsorship activities.
- Prepare periodic progress reports on partnership, fundraising, and brand engagement initiatives.
- Maintain an updated partnership database and record all stakeholder engagement activities systematically.
- Liaise with internal divisions and departments to ensure alignment of partnership goals with organisational priorities and strategic objectives.
Qualification and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- 7 Minimum years’ experience in partnership development, marketing, or corporate fundraising (preferably in NGO or CSR environment).
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Excellent networking, negotiation, and proposal-writing skills.
- Creative, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with social media marketing and corporate sponsorship trends.
Desirable Attributes
- Passionate about humanitarian and community service work.
- Experience managing donor or corporate accounts.
- Knowledge of design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite) or digital marketing platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads) is an added advantage.

- Assist in organising fundraising events, CSR collaborations, and donor appreciation activities.
