Position Overview
The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) is seeking an experienced and proactive individual to join our team as a Senior Officer, Logistics (Administrative). This role is responsible for overseeing and strengthening logistics operations, ensuring efficient supply chain management, and supporting the organization’s humanitarian response through effective coordination of resources, transportation, and inventory systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate transportation and logistics operations for the delivery of goods and materials
- Oversee fleet management, including maintenance planning, utilization, and compliance
- Manage end-to-end supply chain processes (procurement, warehousing, transportation, and distribution)
- Monitor stock levels and implement effective inventory control measures
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logistics records and documentation
- Support and enhance procurement processes, including supplier coordination and market analysis
- Ensure compliance with IFRC / MRC procurement policies and relevant regulations
- Prepare and present logistics reports, analysis, and recommendations to management
- Coordinate with government agencies, vendors, and humanitarian partners
- Implement quality control measures to ensure integrity and accountability of supplies
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff within the logistics function
- Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient and timely logistics operations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations
- Proven experience in managing logistics operations and coordinating multiple stakeholders
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management
- Good leadership, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
