The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) successfully conducted its National Youth Committee Election for the 2024-2027 term today at Dewan Perdana, MRC Headquarters. This pivotal session served as a platform to select the next generation of youth leaders who will spearhead humanitarian efforts among Malaysia’s youth over the coming three years.

The event opened with a welcoming address by MRC Secretary-General Tn Hj Hakim Hamzah, who underscored the critical role of youth in upholding and advancing MRC’s legacy as the nation’s foremost humanitarian organization. The session was well-attended by representatives from various state committees, alongside observers.

The democratic election process saw youth representatives from across the country engaging in nominations and voting. A total of 10 key positions within the MRC National Youth Council were contested for the 2024-2027 term, including Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and 6 Committee Members.

Election Results

At the close of the session, the official results were announced:
• Chairperson: Norsyarmimi Che Lah
• Deputy Chairperson: Chong Cheng Yang
• Secretary: Elaine Tan Hwa Yoke
• Treasurer: Muhammad Ayisy Baharudin

• Koh Yui Xien
• Teh Jhen Yang Wilfred
• Wong Chung Lok
• Chia Tian Xin
• Nicnelson Ling How Eng
