Continuing its mission to assist communities during the monsoon season, the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) has strengthened its collaboration with Nestlé Malaysia to provide aid to flood-affected areas in Kedah and beyond. This partnership underscores the shared commitment of both organisations to support vulnerable communities in times of need.

As part of this initiative, Nestlé Cares and MRC volunteers worked together to pack 5,000 boxes of essential food supplies for distribution to Temporary Relocation Centres (PPS) in the East Coast region and other affected areas. Each box contains vital food items such as MILO, MAGGI, NESCAFÉ, NESTUM, NESTLÉ GOLD Cornflakes, EVERYDAY Milk, and NESTLÉ OMEGA PLUS, offering much-needed sustenance and nutritional support to families affected by the floods.

This initiative reflects a significant in-kind contribution and financial donation valued at RM2 million from Nestlé Malaysia, part of its total RM4 million contribution to MRC in 2024. These funds have been instrumental in bolstering emergency response efforts, enhancing flood preparedness, and supporting recovery measures across the country.

Mr. Juan Aranols, Chief Executive Officer of Nestlé Malaysia, said:
“As a company that has been deeply rooted in Malaysia through our 112 years of presence, we continue to engage proactively in support of communities, especially when confronted with moments of distress or special need. The monsoon season brings significant challenges to many fellow Malaysians, especially in the East Coast region. Our continued collaboration with MRC allows us to extend timely aid, ensuring that flood victims have access to nourishing meals when they need it most. My deepest appreciation goes to our dedicated volunteers who, once again, have joined hands to pack 5,000 food aid packs that that will be on their way to flooded areas very soon, under the very close and effective coordination by MRC.”
