The Senior Marketing & Partnership Development Officer is responsible for strengthening the organization’s visibility, developing strategic partnerships, and driving marketing initiatives that support fundraising and resource mobilization efforts. This role combines corporate partnership development, brand promotion, and marketing communication to enhance MRC’s engagement with stakeholders, donors, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities

A. Partnership Development

  • Identify, engage, and maintain strategic relationships with corporate partners, foundations, and institutional donors.
  • Develop partnership proposals, sponsorship packages, and collaboration concepts aligned with MRC’s humanitarian objectives.
  • Coordinate Memorandums of Understanding (MoU) or partnership agreements with external partners.
  • Manage partnership deliverables, branding visibility, and post-campaign reporting.
  • Support internal teams to ensure donor recognition and partner satisfaction.

B. Marketing & Branding

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate marketing campaigns to promote MRC’s programmes and initiatives.
  • Strengthen the MRC brand presence through digital platforms, social media, and media engagement.
  • Develop promotional materials (brochures, videos, social media content, etc.) in collaboration with the Communications Unit.
  • Monitor and analyse campaign performance to improve outreach and engagement.
  • Support in managing MRC’s official website and online presence to ensure consistent messaging and branding.

C. Fundraising Support

  • Collaborate with the Resource Mobilisation Team to support corporate fundraising campaigns and events.
  • Develop creative marketing strategies to attract donors and sponsors.
  • Assist in organising fundraising events, CSR collaborations, and donor appreciation activities.

D. Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare progress reports on partnership and marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain a partnership database and record all engagement activities.
  • Liaise with other MRC divisions to ensure alignment of partnership goals with organizational objectives.

3. Qualification and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in partnership development, marketing, or corporate fundraising (preferably in NGO or CSR environment).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Excellent networking, negotiation, and proposal-writing skills.
  • Creative, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with social media marketing and corporate sponsorship trends.

4. Desirable Attributes

  • Passionate about humanitarian and community service work.
  • Experience managing donor or corporate accounts.
  • Knowledge of design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite) or digital marketing platforms (Meta Ads, Google Ads) is an added advantage.
  • Team player with a results-oriented mindset.
