Kuala Lumpur, 13 December 2024 – The Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) is proud to announce a significant partnership with guardian Malaysia, which has donated over RM70,000 worth of essential personal and health care items to support flood relief efforts nationwide.
Tn Haji Hakim Hamzah, Secretary General of the Malaysian Red Crescent, expressed heartfelt gratitude for this timely contribution, stating:
“The support from guardian Malaysia exemplifies how partnerships can amplify relief efforts during disasters. These personal care products will go a long way in helping those affected by the floods maintain dignity and health during this challenging time. Such collaborations are vital in ensuring swift and effective humanitarian aid reaches those in need.”
The donated items include critical hygiene and health supplies such as hand wash, hand sanitizers, liquid soap, toothbrushes, baby wipes, wet wipes, pain relief and fever tablets, mosquito repellent, plasters, and hooded towels for children. These essentials will significantly contribute to maintaining hygiene and preventing health issues in flood-affected areas.
