Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd has donated RM350, 000.00 to the Malaysian Red Crescent to support the victims of the Sichuan earthquake in China.

Shell Trading Malaysia Sdn Bhd, General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Datuk Ir. Wahiruddin Abdul Wahid presented the cheque to the Deputy National Chairman of the Malaysian Red Crescent Mr. Hisham Harun Hashim. On 29th June 2008, Y.B. Datuk Seri Utama Dr Rais Yatim, Malaysian Foreign Minister as well as one of the Vice President of the Malaysian Red Crescent Society, officiated the launching of the 120th National Council Meeting and 43rd Annual General Meeting held at the MRCS National HQ in Kuala Lumpur.

On arrival YB was received by the National Chairman, YM Tunku Tan Sri Dato’ Shahriman Tunku Sulaiman and the Official Board Members followed by an inspection of a Guard of Honour mounted by MRCS Youth.

Kursus Pertolongan Cemas Tahap Satu untuk Jurulatih JLKN ( Jabatan Latihan Khidmat Negara ) telah berlangsung selama 3 hari dari 10hb Jun 2008 hingga 12hb Jun 2008 bertempat di Kem PLKN, Temasya Rimba Templer, Selangor Darul Ehsan.

Majlis Perasmian telah disempurnakan oleh Ketua Pengarah  JLKN, YBhg. Dato Abdul Hadi bin Awang Kechil. YBhg. Dato’ Setiausaha Agung BSMM, Mej. Jen.     Once again this year MRC with the cooperation of ICRC has successfully conducted a basic course on Education in Red Cross and Red Crescent and International Humanitarian Law (IHL) for teaches and Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) members.

    This course was intended solely for members and teachers in Labuan as most of the previous courses, members from Labuan have difficulties in attending courses organized in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak for insufficient fund to support their airways fairs. » read more »

The MRC will be organizing a charity golf under the name of  ‘MRC Charity Golf Tournament 2008’ at the Sungai Long Golf & Country Club Cheras on 3rd June 2008 in conjunction with the MRC 60th Year Anniversary.
