In conjunction with the 60th Geneva Convention Day which falls on 12 August, the Malaysian Red Crescent organized Run for Humanity at Taman Tasik Perdana, Kuala Lumpur on 8 August 2009.

The flag-off was officially launched by the Malaysian Red Crescent’s, National Chairman, YM Tunku Tan Sri Dato’ Shahriman bin Tunku Sulaiman.

Run for Humanity was one of our numerous funds raising programmes which aimed to create awareness of our humanitarian services available to the Malaysian Community as well as International.

The charity run event attracted members of the public and school children who competed in their best dressed outfit and also took part in the drawing and karaoke competitions. The crowd was further entertained with a rendition of oldies by our very own Band merpati Putih and Miss Malaysia 2008/2009, Ms. Soo Wincci.  It was indeed an enjoyable and memorable day for everyone attended.
